Postal Center International (PCI), a national leader in mail, print, and marketing solutions, has made significant contributions from its PCI Powerhouse Fund to two nonprofit organizations: Abby’s House in Worcester, Massachusetts, and SA Hope Center in San Antonio, Texas. The donations were presented at PCI’s Southeast national headquarters in Weston, Florida, on September 4, 2025, with company executives, founders Arturo and Susan Echarte, and representatives from both organizations in attendance.
Abby’s House has been providing safe, affordable housing and essential services for women and children experiencing homelessness for nearly 50 years. The funding will help the organization maintain deeply affordable housing while supporting residents through the financial challenges of a changing economy. The SA Hope Center, San Antonio’s largest relationally based nonprofit addressing generational poverty, offers a wide range of services, including workforce development, childcare, counseling, and emergency relief. PCI’s donation will directly support families working low-wage jobs, helping them gain stability through better employment opportunities and holistic care.
The PCI Powerhouse Fund was launched in December 2022 to support causes that uplift women, children, and families in crisis. Since its inception, it has provided funding to dozens of organizations nationwide, including 4KIDS, Franklin Food Pantry, Firewall Centers, Mobile School Pantry Inc., Chosen Care, Inc., and Purpose Academy.
Founded in 1984, PCI has grown into one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing postal and mail processing organizations, with over 600 employees and operations across multiple U.S. regions. The company’s leadership emphasizes that its success is measured not only by business achievements but also by its impact on communities, with the Powerhouse Fund serving as a key part of that mission.
KEY QUOTES:
“Our success as a company is measured not only in business milestones but also in the lives we help transform. Through the PCI Powerhouse Fund, we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with organizations like Abby’s House and SA Hope Center, ensuring women, children, and families have the resources they need to rise above their circumstances and prosper.”
PCI President & CEO Ismael Diaz
“Being selected as a recipient of the PCI Powerhouse Fund is both an honor and a gift. This support ensures our staff can continue showing up—hearts forward—while women and children receive safe and affordable housing, and the highest quality of care and support.”
“The immediate impact of this gift is our ability to keep housing deeply affordable while helping residents navigate the financial challenges of a rapidly changing economy—ensuring Abby’s House remains a place of stability and dignity.”
Julie Orozco, Abby’s House’s Executive Director
“It’s an incredible honor to be chosen as a recipient of PCI’s Powerhouse Fund. PCI is headquartered in Weston, Florida, but they care deeply about families here in San Antonio, where they also do business. Their intentional investment in organizations and people is a true reflection of their corporate mission and values. This investment will go straight to families who are working very low-wage jobs and still can’t make ends meet. PCI’s support helps us equip these families for better-paying jobs while providing holistic care—like mental health support, child-care resources, and case management—so they have the stability they need to succeed long term.”
Megan Legacy, CEO of SA Hope Center
“When we launched the Fund, we wanted to extend PCI’s legacy beyond the boardroom and into communities where the need is greatest. Abby’s House and SA Hope Center embody resilience and hope, and it is our honor to support their incredible work. We are humbled to play a role in their mission of building stronger, more compassionate communities.”
