Booz Allen Hamilton, a leading advanced technology company serving U.S. defense and national security clients, has made a strategic investment in PDW, a Huntsville, Alabama-based company that designs and manufactures advanced unmanned aerial systems for defense and public safety. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The investment aligns Booz Allen’s expertise in AI, autonomy, and defense technology with PDW’s domestically produced drone platforms, with the goal of accelerating the delivery of mission-critical UAS capable of advanced surveillance, contested environment operations, and strike missions. The partnership directly addresses the Pentagon’s focus on domestic drone manufacturing and its call for reliable, autonomous drone capabilities at scale.
PDW operates a 90,000-square-foot drone factory in Huntsville and is capable of producing 100,000 drones annually. As a domestic manufacturer, the company designs, engineers, and produces all systems in the United States, supporting the Department of War’s Drone Dominance Program. Booz Allen trades on the NYSE under the ticker BAH and employs approximately 31,600 people globally.
