Pediatrix Medical Group announced it has expanded its maternal health services footprint through a partnership and acquisition of Tennessee Maternal-Fetal Medicine, strengthening its presence in Middle Tennessee and the Greater Nashville area.
The acquired practice will operate as Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists of Tennessee under the Pediatrix banner, continuing to serve patients across five locations in the region. The group includes four board-certified physicians and six advanced practice providers, delivering specialized care for high-risk pregnancies.
The transaction was completed as a cash deal and is expected to be immediately accretive to earnings. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The expansion enhances Pediatrix’s ability to provide maternal-fetal medicine services, a specialty focused on managing complex and high-risk pregnancies. By integrating the Tennessee-based practice, the company aims to broaden access to advanced maternal care while leveraging the practice’s clinical expertise and reputation.
Founded in 1979, Pediatrix provides physician services across obstetrics, maternal-fetal medicine, neonatology and pediatric subspecialties, with approximately 4,300 affiliated physicians and clinicians operating in hospital and office-based settings nationwide.
