Pelgo: $5.5 Million Seed Funding Raised For AI-Based Career Transition Platform

Pelgo, an AI-based career transition agent, said it has raised $5.5 million in seed funding to support product development, expand its AI and engineering teams, and fuel go-to-market efforts ahead of an initial product launch in early February. The round was led by Flybridge Capital Partners, with participation from ENIAC Ventures, Primary Venture Partners, and 645 Ventures.

Pelgo said its platform combines software with human counselors to make job placement, career transitioning, and reskilling services more effective, affordable, and supported for workers navigating layoffs, new graduates entering the job market, and employed workers looking to pivot as the economy becomes more AI-driven.

The company framed its product as a full-service agent designed to help employers and universities offer career pathing at a lower cost and broader scale than traditional programs, which it said have historically been reserved for managers and executives. Pelgo also positioned reskilling for an AI economy as central to remaining relevant as AI tools proliferate across roles and industries.

Pelgo said it is reinventing the career transition process with a more affordable platform for companies and aims to help workers enter or re-enter the workforce with job placement support aligned to new AI-driven job categories. The company said it was co-founded by executives and board members of multi-billion-dollar enterprises.
