Peloton Interactive introduced the Peloton Tread Flex, its first foldable treadmill and most affordable to date, along with two additional models and new AI-powered coaching capabilities. The company also announced a partnership with Grammy Award-winning artist Miley for its new “Let Yourself Run” advertising campaign, which features the Tread Flex and her latest single, “Bass Persuades.” The new treadmill starts at C$2,995 in Canada and will become available in North America on October 1, 2026.
The launch expands Peloton’s treadmill portfolio with three models: Peloton Tread Flex, Peloton Tread Vision, and Peloton Tread+ Vision. All three incorporate the company’s AI-enabled Peloton IQ operating system, swivel displays for accessing complementary workouts, and rolling controls designed to make speed and incline adjustments easier during exercise.
Tread Flex introduces a folding design that reduces its footprint by nearly 50%, making it suitable for customers with limited living space. It features an ultra-quiet brushless motor that Peloton says produces approximately 70 decibels during internal testing at its maximum running speed of 12.5 mph without a runner on the belt.
The company plans to introduce Tread Flex in its other international markets in spring 2027, with availability in Australia expected during the country’s autumn season.
The Peloton Tread Vision, starting at C$4,395 in Canada, introduces a new cushioning system, convenient speed adjustment buttons, and a movement-tracking camera that provides personalized running form feedback. The camera can also evaluate users’ lifting technique during strength workouts performed off the treadmill.
The premium Peloton Tread+ Vision, priced at C$8,395 in Canada, features a cushioned, energy-returning slat belt, movement-tracking technology, and a new Sled Mode that provides up to 300 pounds of resistance. The feature allows users to perform strength and conditioning exercises without leaving the treadmill and will also be available on existing Tread+ models.
Alongside the hardware expansion, Peloton is introducing several new capabilities through Peloton IQ, its AI-powered personalized coaching platform. Beginning October 1, members will gain access to additional tools designed to improve running performance, deliver personalized training recommendations, and connect indoor workouts with outdoor exercise.
One of the new features, Run Analysis, uses information about cadence, vertical oscillation, and stride length to generate a running efficiency score and provide recommendations for improving running technique. The feature will be available on the new Tread Vision and all Tread+ equipment.
Another capability, IQ Pace Targets, analyzes a member’s recent running performance and recommends personalized speed ranges for workout intervals. Suggested speeds appear directly on the treadmill display, allowing users to adjust their pace with a single tap.
Peloton is also introducing Heart Rate Zone Workouts, a new guided training format that integrates heart rate information from compatible smartwatches and fitness bands. The feature supports personalized Zone 2 cardiovascular training.
The company’s new ReRuns feature allows members to recreate outdoor running experiences on their treadmills by synchronizing incline changes from previously recorded routes through the Peloton app. Users can also select from preloaded running routes.
Peloton is expanding its wearable technology integrations through a new partnership with WHOOP. Beginning September 22, users can connect their Peloton and WHOOP accounts, allowing workout information to synchronize between the platforms. The integration builds on existing connections with Apple Health, Fitbit, and Garmin Connect.
The new software capabilities complement Peloton’s library of more than 17,000 treadmill-specific classes, which include live and on-demand running, walking, and hiking workouts. The company is also introducing Race Training Programs featuring structured training cycles with recovery days, speed workouts, and long runs.
According to a Peloton internal study of 2,069 new treadmill users who completed qualifying workouts during their first and sixth subscription months, 56% recorded faster running speeds within six months. The results reflect the analyzed group rather than a guarantee of typical customer outcomes.
Peloton is supporting its hardware launch with “Let Yourself Run,” a new advertising campaign starring Miley. The campaign represents the next installment of the company’s “Let Yourself Go” brand platform and emphasizes the emotional benefits of running, walking, and physical movement rather than focusing exclusively on performance metrics.
Directed by Bethany Vargas, the campaign’s principal advertisement features Miley exercising on the Peloton Tread Flex while performing alongside Peloton instructor Adrian Williams. The advertisement is set to “Bass Persuades,” a single from Miley’s recently released tenth studio album of the same name.
The campaign draws on Miley’s existing relationship with Peloton. As a Peloton member, she has previously discussed using treadmill workouts to strengthen her lungs and support her musical performances.
The advertising campaign launched on September 22 across the United States and Canada. It includes a 60-second principal advertisement supported by television, streaming video, digital advertising, social media, and digital out-of-home placements.
Peloton is also planning a Miley Artist Series for early October, bringing music from her latest album into workouts available to Peloton members.
The company is extending its retail distribution in Canada through a new partnership with The Fitness Factory. Beginning October 1, customers will be able to try and purchase Peloton’s hardware, including the new treadmill lineup, at participating stores in Ontario, Alberta, and Nova Scotia.
Together, the new treadmill portfolio, AI-powered coaching capabilities, expanded retail availability, and Miley campaign represent Peloton’s efforts to reach a broader audience of runners, walkers, and fitness enthusiasts while making its connected fitness technology available across additional price points.
