Pendo, a software experience management platform, has acquired Chisel Labs, an AI-powered product management platform headquartered in San Francisco and Pune, India, as it deepens its focus on agentic AI to accelerate core product workflows.
The deal is Pendo’s fourth acquisition in the past 18 months and its third involving an AI-native startup, signaling a continued buildout of AI capabilities that the company says are designed to deliver measurable outcomes for product organizations. Pendo said Chisel’s product management agent has helped teams work significantly faster on tasks, including drafting product requirement documents and release notes, running user research, and triaging feedback.
Pendo plans to bring Chisel’s specialized AI frameworks and engineering talent in-house to accelerate development of autonomous agents intended to handle manual, time-intensive work across product teams. The transaction also establishes India as a new research and development hub for Pendo. Chisel’s engineering team in Pune will form the foundation of Pendo’s India operations, which the company described as its 10th global office, with plans to scale the team to 50 engineers by year end.
The announcement comes ahead of Pendomonium, Pendo’s annual product festival scheduled for March 24–26 in Raleigh, North Carolina, where product, UX, and AI leaders are expected to focus on how product building is evolving in the AI era.
