Pep Boys announced the appointment of Nik Umrani as Chief Information Officer, reinforcing the company’s focus on advancing its technology capabilities and enhancing customer experience.
Umrani joins the company as a seasoned global technology leader with more than two decades of experience driving enterprise growth through artificial intelligence, cloud, and digital transformation initiatives. In his new role, he will lead Pep Boys’ technology strategy as the company continues to evolve alongside the broader automotive services industry.
Most recently, Umrani served as Global CIO at NSM Insurance Group / Novacore, where he led a comprehensive enterprise transformation to support company growth. His prior leadership experience includes senior roles at Comcast, ADT, and Verizon Communications. He has also been recognized as a 2023 ORBIE CIO of the Year honoree and received a 2024 HMG Global Leadership Award.
Pep Boys said the appointment underscores its continued investment in talent and technology to better serve customers with faster, smarter, and more reliable automotive services. With nearly 800 locations across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, the company supports millions of drivers annually, including both individual consumers and commercial fleets.
