Perelel has raised $27 million in growth capital from Prelude Growth Partners, marking a pivotal step in the company’s evolution from a prenatal-focused startup to a full-spectrum women’s health brand. The funding includes participation from existing backers Unilever Ventures, Willow Growth Partners, and Selva Ventures, and will support the company’s continued expansion across the entire hormonal lifecycle.
Founded by Victoria Thain Gioia, Alex Taylor, and OB/GYN Dr. Banafsheh Bayati, Perelel set out to deliver clinically validated, research-backed supplements tailored to each stage of a woman’s hormonal journey. The new investment replaces early angel investors and brings in a partner aligned with the company’s long-term ambitions. Prelude Growth Partners identified Perelel’s clinical rigor, differentiated brand position, and strong financial performance as key drivers of its decision.
In its first five years, Perelel has achieved profitability, doubled annual revenue, sustained category-leading subscriber retention, and expanded its offerings to support women through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause. The company is continuing to broaden its product suite at a moment when women face an influx of unregulated information and influencer-driven products lacking clinical backing. Perelel aims to provide clarity by investing in research, clinical validation, and stage-specific nutrition.
The investment reinforces the firm’s commitment to rebuilding trust in the women’s health category and scaling brands that prioritize medical credibility, high-quality formulation,s and long-term consumer trust. Prelude Growth Partners, which focuses on high-growth consumer brands, views Perelel as a future category leader redefining the standards for women’s health and wellness.
Perelel continues to expand its clinically backed daily vitamin routines and wellness essentials, all formulated to support the diverse needs of women from preconception through perimenopause. The brand received the Clean Label Project Purity Award for most of its products in 2024, placing it among an elite group recognized for ingredient quality and safety.
