Perigon Wealth Management has expanded Chief Investment Officer Rafia Hasan’s leadership role to include Chief Operating Officer responsibilities as the independent wealth management firm prepares for its next stage of growth.
The San Francisco-based registered investment advisor managed approximately $11.2 billion in client assets as of December 31, 2025. Perigon operates through teams and offices across 19 locations nationwide.
Hasan will retain her responsibilities as CIO while assuming oversight of Perigon’s operational strategy. Her expanded remit includes the firm’s investment, financial planning, operations and technology functions.
The new leadership structure is designed to create greater alignment across Perigon’s platform, improve the experiences of advisors and clients, and establish the operational infrastructure needed to support continued expansion at scale.
Hasan joined Perigon as CIO in 2023. During her tenure, she helped centralize the firm’s investment platform. Perigon now plans to apply a similar approach across its other core operational functions.
As part of the leadership changes, Perigon appointed Chris Briley as Managing Director of Technology. Briley will oversee the firm’s technology strategy, including the integration of artificial intelligence into its platform and operations.
Briley previously served as Chief Technology Officer at investment management firm Manning & Napier. He has decades of financial services technology experience, including leading large global teams and building organizations centered around project management.
Beth Bosworth will continue serving as Head of Financial Planning and will align the financial planning function within Hasan’s unified operational structure. Bosworth is responsible for overseeing the wealth management solutions available to Perigon’s advisors.
The firm said the more integrated structure is intended to help advisors provide clients with a deeper and more holistic financial planning experience.
Brian McGunnigle will remain Director of Operations, focusing on the day-to-day processes and operational efficiencies supporting Perigon’s advisors. He will continue reporting to Hasan, while Briley and Bosworth will also report directly to her.
The appointments are part of a broader expansion of Perigon’s leadership team. The firm previously added Rory Shusted as Chief People Officer, Varun Sanon as Managing Director of Corporate Development, Jon Seif as Managing Director of Digital Strategy and Luke Samuels as Senior Director of Business Development.
Perigon operates an advisor-led model and offers financial professionals multiple affiliation structures and business models. The firm is seeking to expand its platform while allowing advisors to maintain their independence and personalized approach to client service.
KEY QUOTES:
“As we considered how best to support our continued growth, it became clear we needed to enhance our executive leadership to provide additional strategic oversight of our critical operational functions. We created a structure that allows us to leverage Rafia’s skills and ensures we have a clear line of executive oversight for these important firm functions. Rafia already succeeded in centralizing our investment platform, and I am confident she can spearhead developing a single, unified structure to drive better experiences and results across the entire firm.”
