Perimeter Solutions Group (PSG), a Bertram Capital portfolio company building a national perimeter-protection platform, has acquired Southern California-based commercial and industrial fencing contractor Econo Fence, expanding PSG’s footprint in California. Terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1977 and led by Amanda and Jason Johnson, Econo Fence is a long-established contractor serving commercial, municipal, and industrial projects across California, including schools, sports complexes, and other public infrastructure. PSG said the deal strengthens its ability to support customers’ fencing, gate fabrication, and automation needs by enhancing its local capabilities in the state.
As part of the transaction, industry veteran Frank Martinez will become President of Econo Fence and Vice President of PSG beginning in 2026. PSG said Martinez brings more than 35 years of executive leadership experience across facilities services, real estate, and construction, including oversight of projects totaling more than $2 billion in value, and will help advance the platform’s operational execution, M&A integration, and scalable growth.
The acquisition marks PSG’s ninth deal since 2021 and its fourth since Bertram and PSG partnered in October 2024. PSG operates from 12 locations nationwide and provides permanent and rental fencing, gate and access control solutions, physical and electronic security, and maintenance services to commercial, industrial, and government customers across a wide range of end markets.
