Global investment firm Permira has announced the strategic appointment of Caitlin Brodie as a Managing Director within its US Capital Formation team. Caitlin will be based in New York and will take on the role of Head of US East Coast Coverage.
In this capacity, she will be responsible for leading the firm’s investor engagement efforts along the East Coast. This development is part of Permira’s ongoing strategy to expand its global Capital Formation platform and to deepen its relationships with investors across North America.
Caitlin Brodie joins Permira with nearly two decades of experience in finance, business development, and investor relations. Her extensive background makes her a valuable addition to the team. Before joining Permira, Caitlin spent 12 years at The Carlyle Group, where she served as a Managing Director in business development and investor relations. In this role, she was instrumental in cultivating partnerships and attracting investment for various initiatives.
Before her time at The Carlyle Group, Caitlin was involved in capital raising at SL Capital Partners, which is now known as abrdn plc. Her career also includes significant roles at leading financial institutions such as UBS and Lehman Brothers. This diverse experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the investment landscape, which will benefit Permira in its efforts to engage with investors.
Caitlin’s appointment is part of a broader recruitment initiative at Permira. Earlier this year, the firm made several notable hires to strengthen its leadership team. Chris Buchanan was named Partner and Global Head of Capital Formation, bringing crucial oversight to the firm’s fundraising operations. Additionally, Nader Salman was appointed as Managing Director and Head of the Middle East, while Sean Lewis took on the role of Senior Director for West Coast coverage in the US. Ryosuke Okazaki has also joined as Head of Capital Formation for Japan.
