Personalized Story Group has acquired Hooray Heroes, expanding its portfolio of personalized publishing and gifting brands with an established international personalized-book company.
Founded in Slovenia in 2013, Hooray Heroes creates personalized illustrated books featuring children, parents, grandparents, siblings and pets.
The company’s catalog includes titles centered on birthdays, holidays, new babies, family milestones and other occasions.
Hooray Heroes has created more than three million personalized books for customers around the world and serves markets including the U.S., Europe and Australia.
The acquisition adds Hooray Heroes to a Personalized Story Group portfolio that already includes Story Bug, My Story Tale and Wall Art Prints.
PSG said the transaction significantly broadens its creative catalog, international customer base and capabilities in family-focused and multi-character personalization.
Hooray Heroes will continue operating under its existing brand.
PSG plans to invest in new titles, improved personalization technology and further international expansion.
The acquisition follows two consecutive years of triple-digit growth for Personalized Story Group.
The company is pursuing a strategy of building an independent global portfolio of personalized publishing businesses while allowing the individual brands to retain their own creative identities.
KEY QUOTES:
“Hooray Heroes has built an outstanding publishing brand with a loyal global audience and a catalogue that has helped millions of families see themselves represented in the stories they share. Its strength in family-focused and multi-character storytelling is highly complementary to the books we have developed through Story Bug and My Story Tale. We see an exciting opportunity to preserve what customers already love about Hooray Heroes, while investing in new stories, enhanced personalization, and the brand’s next stage of international growth.”
Brendon Watson, CEO of Personalized Story Group
“From the beginning, our goal was to create books that made children and families feel seen, celebrated and connected. Personalized Story Group understands both the creative and technological sides of personalized publishing. Its commitment to preserving the Hooray Heroes brand, combined with its publishing capabilities and international reach, makes PSG the right home for the company’s next chapter.”
