Plus the devices have Alexa built-in so it can be used for setting alarms, listening to the news, playing music, and tapping into more than 50,000 Alexa skills.

These next-gen cameras both have 1080p HD video, 4x digital zoom, and night vision. And Petcube sends pet parents real-time smart alerts about potentially dangerous events.

The Petcube Play 2 is the third-generation camera modeled from the original Petcube. And the Petcube Play 2 has a cube design and an interactive laser toy.

Care Subscription Service

The Petcube Play 2 and Petcube Bites 2 devices work with the Petcube Care subscription service. Through the subscription service, the Care artificial intelligence technology understands what pets are doing such as barks and meows.

And Petcube Care subscribers are able to receive exclusive deals on pet insurance, food, and goods and services from brands such as Mars Petcare, Trupanion, Rover, Audible, KONG, and Vetted. The subscription service starts at $2.99 per month and the deals offer savings on average of more than $300 per year.

“Petcube products have essentially become smartphones for pets, with average pet parent spending over 54 minutes per week interacting with their pets – more time than they talk to their parents over the phone,” said Petcube CEO and co-founder Yaroslav Azynyuk. “Our mission is to connect pets to the Internet and give them a voice. These new products are not just the best pet cameras on the market, with features like 180º field of view, Alexa built-in, and Petcube Care, they are one of the best home cameras available, period. That’s how the future of Pet Care looks like.”

Petcube Bites 2 and Petcube Play 2 will be available in two colors: Matte Silver and Carbon Black. The Petcube Bite 2 is priced at $249 and the Petcube Play 2 is $199.
