PharmaResearch announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Cosmetic Group USA, also known as CG USA. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
PharmaResearch is a South Korea-based regenerative medicine company behind REJURAN. CG USA is a U.S.-based cosmetics OEM and ODM manufacturer headquartered in California.
The planned acquisition is intended to strengthen PharmaResearch’s localization strategy across North America as demand for REJURAN Cosmetics grows in the U.S.
PharmaResearch said the transaction will provide a local manufacturing base and improve supply chain efficiency, logistics, production, and distribution capabilities.
Until now, PharmaResearch has supplied the U.S. market with REJURAN Cosmetics products manufactured in Korea.
The company said acquiring CG USA will help it respond more effectively to growing demand driven by its Sephora launch and expanding Amazon channel.
CG USA has capabilities across product planning, formula development, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and quality control.
The company operates an FDA-registered facility and holds a cosmetics manufacturing license.
CG USA’s quality management system is aligned with current good manufacturing practice standards.
Its manufacturing infrastructure also supports production of over-the-counter products.
PharmaResearch said the acquisition will strengthen supply stability in North America while supporting future expansion into Canada, broader North America, and South America.
REJURAN Cosmetics is PharmaResearch’s premium derma cosmetics brand, developed from the company’s regenerative medicine technology.
The brand is built around DOT c-PDRN, PharmaResearch’s patented cosmetic-grade PDRN ingredient.
REJURAN Cosmetics has expanded its U.S. presence through online and offline retail channels, including Sephora and Amazon.
The brand is also scheduled to enter Canada in the second half of the year.
PharmaResearch said the acquisition could also create an opportunity to expand its ODM business in the U.S. over the mid to long term.
PharmaResearch is headquartered in Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do, South Korea, and has a U.S. subsidiary in Costa Mesa, California. The company’s portfolio includes medicines, medical devices, cosmetics, and health supplements based on DOT PDRN and DOT PN ingredients.
CG USA was founded in 1986 and provides OEM and ODM services to global cosmetics and personal care brands. The company operates a one-stop production system spanning research and development, manufacturing, filling, and packaging. CG USA also holds ISO 22716 certification.
