Phoenix Service Partners: Investment Raised From SCF Partners

SCF Partners announced its investment in Phoenix Service Partners, a service company specializing in high-horsepower, low-emission natural gas compression. And industry veterans Randy Dean (CEO) and Rick Childress (COO) founded Phoenix in 2024. The team had previously built and led two of the industry’s most successful contract compression companies: CDM Resource Management and Pegasus Optimization Managers. This partnership with SCF provides capital and strategic support to build Phoenix into an industry leader.

Phoenix provides high-horsepower compression solutions to blue-chip customers, supporting critical energy infrastructure in the Permian and Eagle Ford basins. And the company’s next-generation equipment and operational technologies ensure industry-leading runtimes while reducing methane emissions by more than 50% compared to traditional compression fleets.

Along wtih the SCF equity investment, Phoenix also closed an asset-backed credit facility with a consortium of lenders. In total, these facilities provide Phoenix up to $350 million of debt and equity capital to support its rapid growth.
