Pictet Alternative Advisors has announced the final close of its first direct private equity strategy, Pictet Private Equity Entrepreneur Capital I, at €403 million, marking a significant expansion of the firm’s direct investing capabilities.

The fund attracted a diverse limited partner base that includes foundations, pension funds, institutional family offices, and entrepreneurs. It focuses on investing in lower mid-market, founder- and family-owned businesses across the DACH region and the United Kingdom.

The strategy targets thematic opportunities within B2B services and education sectors, emphasizing businesses that benefit from long-term structural growth trends. The investment approach centers on partnering closely with founders and management teams to drive value creation through technology transformation, enhanced go-to-market strategies, and buy-and-build expansion initiatives.

Since its launch, the fund has already completed five investments. These include Pareto FM, a UK-based technical services provider; Technology Services Group, a Microsoft-focused managed services provider; QGroup, a German cybersecurity services firm; and Tretor, a Switzerland-based accounting platform serving small and medium-sized enterprises.

The broader Pictet Group, founded in 1805 and headquartered in Geneva, manages approximately CHF 757 billion in assets under management or custody as of the end of 2025. The firm focuses exclusively on wealth management, asset management, alternative investments, and related services, and does not engage in investment banking or commercial lending.

Pictet Alternative Advisors manages approximately $54 billion in alternative assets, including $31 billion in private equity. The direct private equity team focuses on acquiring majority stakes in entrepreneur-led and family-owned businesses with strong growth potential and resilience.
