Pillr Health announced it has acquired CaptureRx, a 340B technology and services organization based in San Antonio, Texas. The acquisition expands Pillr Health’s pharmacy solutions platform to support more than 500 hospitals, health systems, and federally qualified health centers nationwide.
The combined organization will provide customers with access to a broader suite of pharmacy management and 340B program services, including split billing, contract pharmacy administration, entity-owned pharmacy management, referral capture, compliance support, and pharmacy optimization programs.
The acquisition also strengthens Pillr Health’s position in supporting covered entities participating in the federal 340B drug pricing program, which enables eligible hospitals, health systems, and federally qualified health centers to purchase outpatient medications at reduced prices. The savings generated through the program help fund care for uninsured, low-income, and vulnerable patient populations.
CaptureRx customers will gain access to Pillr Health’s integrated software, analytics, advisory, and managed pharmacy services platform as health care organizations continue to navigate a more complex regulatory and compliance environment surrounding 340B operations.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Pillr Health said the acquisition expands its ability to help health care organizations improve pharmacy program performance and operational efficiency while supporting patient access initiatives. The company is headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, and specializes in 340B program administration and pharmacy optimization services for hospitals and health systems across the United States.
