Ping Identity To Buy Keyless To Advance Global Privacy-Preserving Biometric Authentication

By Amit Chowdhry • Nov 3, 2025

Ping Identity announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire London-based Keyless, a pioneer in privacy-preserving biometric authentication. The acquisition aims to enhance Ping’s capabilities in secure, passwordless access and strengthen digital identity assurance across global enterprises. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

Keyless’ Zero-Knowledge Biometrics™ technology enables frictionless, privacy-first authentication with just a glance at the camera. It verifies users through cryptographic methods that prevent biometric data from ever being stored or reconstructed, whether on a device or in the cloud. Unlike traditional biometric systems, Keyless technology requires no dedicated hardware, making it deployable across multiple environments and user types. The integration will support Ping Identity’s One Platform vision to provide trusted digital interactions across customers, employees, and partners.

Upon completion, Keyless’ authentication capabilities will be incorporated into the Ping Identity Platform to bolster fraud prevention, enhance user assurance, and maintain seamless digital experiences. Enterprises using Ping’s platform will benefit from privacy-preserving authentication that supports various use cases, including customer identity and access management, workforce security, and B2B environments.

The acquisition will also expand Ping’s reach into compliance-driven markets by aligning with international privacy standards such as GDPR, CCPA, and PSD3. Both companies share a commitment to creating a unified, privacy-preserving authentication ecosystem designed to resist AI-driven impersonation and deepfake threats while promoting speed, trust, and security in every digital interaction.

Europe’s leadership in privacy-centric digital identity through frameworks like eIDAS 2 provides a strong foundation for this move. Ping Identity intends to build on these advancements globally, helping organizations align their digital identity strategies with modern privacy and compliance expectations.
