Pinsent Masons is expanding into Poland with plans to open a Warsaw office in mid-2026, strengthening the firm’s pan-European offering and establishing a presence in Central and Eastern Europe.
The firm said the launch is intended to deepen support for clients with cross-border needs in the region, with Poland positioned as a resilient and increasingly important investment destination.
The Warsaw office will open with a six-partner founding team spanning real estate, corporate and M&A, banking and finance, and construction, with additional practice areas planned for development over time. The office will be led by Bartłomiej “Bartek” Kordeczka and Jakub Marcinkowski.
On real estate, Kordeczka joins from Dentons, where he co-led the real estate practice and served as Warsaw office co-managing partner from 2023 to 2025. Pinsent Masons highlighted his transactional real estate experience across Poland and CEE, including real estate M&A work across major asset classes.
Also joining from Dentons is Piotr Staniszewski, previously co-head of the construction practice, with experience advising on non-contentious construction and development, complex construction contracting frameworks, zoning and permitting, related disputes, and transactional work including asset and share deals and joint ventures across office, retail, logistics, and PRS. Maciej Jodkowski joins from Greenberg Traurig, where he was a shareholder in the Warsaw real estate department, with experience leading multi-million-euro asset and share transactions, negotiating commercial and office lease agreements, and advising developers on construction projects.
In corporate and M&A, Marcinkowski joins from DLA Piper, where he co-headed the Poland Corporate and M&A practice, advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, and complex restructurings. Błażej Zagórski joins from CMS, where he led the German Desk, and will focus on cross-border transactions and M&A matters across sectors, including energy, TMT, healthcare, consumer goods, manufacturing, and financial services, alongside corporate governance work.
In banking and finance, Bartosz Nojek joins from Dentons, where he co-headed the banking and finance practice, advising on financing transactions across real estate, corporate, structured, leverage, and project finance, including portfolio deals involving multiple jurisdictions.
Pinsent Masons said the Warsaw launch will become its ninth office in continental Europe, adding to its existing presence across France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Spain, and the Netherlands.
KEY QUOTES
“Further scaling up our capabilities in Europe in order to meet the evolving needs of our clients remains a strategic objective for us. Poland, as one of Europe’s most resilient and dynamic economies, adds a valuable component to our pan-European offering. It is a key market for a number of our clients, particularly those in Western Europe, and remains an important investment destination in Central and Eastern Europe.
We’re launching with a stellar founding team whose reputation precedes them in the Polish market. They possess an extraordinary breadth of expertise, complemented by a long-standing collegiate relationship. Most importantly, they embody the mindset that drives our people to deliver differently; they’re forward-thinking, collaborative and recognise the value of connectivity in a global business.”
Andrew Masraf, Senior Partner, Pinsent Masons
“The Polish market presents a major opportunity for international firms, with Warsaw becoming increasingly recognised as a legal and commercial hub in the CEE region. Pinsent Masons already has a strong network of European offices, and this expansion into Poland provides another dimension for supporting the cross-border needs of its clients.
I’ve known and worked with our founding team for a number of years, so can speak on behalf of us all in saying that collectively we have the shared ambition and tenacity to establish Pinsent Masons as a market leader in Poland and CEE.”
Bartłomiej “Bartek” Kordeczka, Partner, Pinsent Masons
“Warsaw serves as a strategic base for managing English-law governed transactions across CEE, with substantial demand for M&A, banking and real estate services. Our founding team brings extensive experience in all of these areas, setting us in excellent stead to integrate with Pinsent Masons multi-national network and deliver against both local and international client needs.”
