Pioneer Power Builds $200 Million PRYMUS Quote Pipeline With 80% Tied To Data Centers

Pioneer Power Solutions has built an active PRYMUS quote pipeline of approximately $200 million, with roughly 80% tied to data-center projects, only months after introducing the distributed prime-power platform.

PRYMUS combines mobile prime-power generation, battery energy storage and control technology in pre-engineered modular blocks that can scale from 1 MW to 10 MW. Pioneer is positioning the system for customers that need power faster than conventional grid interconnections can be developed.

The initial commercial validation came from an award worth up to $6 million from one of the country’s largest package-delivery companies for two PRYMUS systems serving separate transit hubs. Those systems are expected to be delivered during the second half of 2026, and Pioneer said the customer has indicated potential interest in additional systems for the first half of 2027.

The roughly 80% data-center mix implies that approximately $160 million of the current quote pipeline is associated with data-center opportunities. Those quotes are not the same as booked orders, but their scale illustrates the demand Pioneer is seeing from customers facing power-availability constraints.

Companywide backlog increased 32% sequentially to $18.4 million from $13.9 million at March 31. Pioneer expects approximately $15 million of revenue during the second half of 2026, which would represent more than 60% growth compared with the first half.

Near-term financial results remain pressured while those newer programs ramp. Q2 revenue declined 40% to $5 million from $8.4 million, primarily because of lower sales and rentals from the e-Boost mobile EV-charging business. Gross margin nevertheless improved to 19.6% from 15.7%.

Operating loss from continuing operations was approximately $2 million, while net loss was $2.1 million. Pioneer ended June with $10.7 million of cash, $17.1 million of working capital and no bank debt.

Alongside PRYMUS, Pioneer is maintaining its e-Boost business at an annual revenue baseline of roughly $10 million and plans to begin shipping its PowerCore home-power product during the second half. But the scale of the PRYMUS quote pipeline makes distributed data-center power the most significant emerging opportunity in the company’s current commercial funnel.

KEY QUOTES:

“Our PRYMUS on-site power system, introduced in December 2025, continues to gain traction as customers look for reliable, scalable power that can be deployed in months rather than years. PRYMUS is designed to meet that demand, combining mobile prime power generation, battery energy storage and advanced controls in pre-engineered, modular blocks that can scale from 1 MW to 10 MW and be deployed where power is needed, when it is needed. The early response to the platform has been strong, highlighted by the up to $6 million award we announced in May from one of the nation’s largest package delivery companies for two PRYMUS systems to provide prime power at separate transit hubs.

Although the initial systems are not expected to be delivered until the second half of 2026, this customer has indicated an interest in potentially ordering additional PRYMUS systems for delivery in the first half of 2027. At the same time, our pipeline continues to build, with active PRYMUS quotes totaling approximately $200 million in aggregate with roughly 80% related to data center projects. The level of engaged interest we are experiencing only months after launching PRYMUS is an indication of the platform’s strong potential and market reception. We fully expect to receive additional, significant PRYMUS orders in the second half of 2026.”
