Pipedrive Launches Nova AI Meeting Intelligence Tool To Automate Sales Notes And CRM Updates

Pipedrive has launched Nova, an AI-powered meeting intelligence tool built directly into its CRM platform to help sales teams prepare for customer calls, record and transcribe conversations, and draft CRM updates after meetings.

Nova is generally available worldwide beginning September 16, 2026, and is included in all Pipedrive plans at no additional cost. The tool operates within Pipedrive’s existing infrastructure, eliminating the need for customers to deploy or manage a separate AI meeting application.

Before a meeting, Nova can gather relevant context from deal histories, emails and previous conversations already stored in Pipedrive. The goal is to give salespeople a quick understanding of where a customer relationship stands and what actions may be needed next without manually searching through CRM records.

During meetings, Nova can record conversations through Pipedrive’s desktop application or through a visible notetaker in Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The platform provides controls for participant consent and notifications.

After a call, Nova generates a transcript and meeting summary, identifies next steps and proposes updates to CRM fields such as deal stage, deal value and expected closing date.

Importantly, the system does not automatically apply those updates. Salespeople can review, edit and approve every suggested CRM change before it is saved, allowing users to maintain control over the information entered into the system.

Pipedrive is positioning Nova around reducing the administrative work surrounding sales conversations rather than replacing salespeople with autonomous agents.

The company’s 2026 CRM Trends Report, based on a survey of 1,000 sales and marketing professionals, found that 42% spend at least 40% of their working day on activities that do not directly generate revenue. Only 11% said actively closing deals was among their most frequent weekly activities.

Meeting preparation and follow-up represent part of that burden. Pipedrive said 71% of professionals spend at least 10 minutes preparing for each customer call by reviewing emails, CRM histories and prior conversations, while 47% said follow-ups or CRM updates frequently take more than 24 hours to complete.

The company’s research also suggests many users prefer AI-assisted workflows to fully autonomous automation. Only 23% of respondents said they would be very comfortable allowing AI to complete tasks automatically without review, while 43% said the AI capability they most wanted was help drafting emails, summaries and notes that could be reviewed before being sent or saved.

Australian property technology company Snug tested Nova before its general release. Snug’s platform is used by more than 73,000 property managers and 1.5 million renters across Australia.

According to the company, Nova saves its six-person sales team between 30 minutes and one hour per sales meeting by reducing time spent on note-taking, transcription, preparation and follow-up.

Pipedrive said the productivity improvement effectively allows salespeople to spend more time interacting with customers while keeping CRM information more current.

Founded in 2010, Pipedrive provides CRM software primarily to small and mid-sized businesses. More than 105,000 companies across over 180 countries currently use the platform, which is backed by majority shareholder Vista Equity Partners and other technology investors.

Nova extends Pipedrive’s broader strategy of using AI to reduce manual sales workflows while keeping people involved in final decisions.

KEY QUOTES:

“Nova saves me at least half an hour to an hour per deal meeting in terms of note-taking, transcribing and follow-up action steps. The tool essentially triples the size and effectiveness of our sales team. We’re not having to do all of the manual sales administration, preparation, follow-up. We’re getting a second set of eyes and intelligence on every conversation.”

Justin Butterworth, Founder and CEO of Snug

“Everyone in this category is trying to build an autopilot, and I think that’s the wrong plane to be flying. What actually helps a rep isn’t more automation. It’s more confidence. Nova gets everything else out of their way so reps can spend that energy doing the one thing they’re actually paid to do: sell. That’s what we built Nova to do.”
