When did you start your career in the tech industry? Gemignani shared:
“I began my career in tech in the early 2000s, immediately after graduating from university. My journey started with software engineering, and over the years, I transitioned into leadership roles that allowed me to influence not just the code but also how teams operate and deliver impact.

How long have you been working with Pipefy? Gemignani noted:
“I joined Pipefy in 2020, so it’s been around five years now.”
Favorite Memory
What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Gemignani reflected:
“One standout moment was when we launched our AI strategy and saw teams across the company—product, engineering, ops, customer support—rally around a shared vision. It wasn’t just about tech; it was about empowering people to do more with less friction. Seeing that alignment and excitement are something I won’t forget.”
Evolution Of The Company’s Technology
How has the company’s technology evolved since its launch? Gemignani noted:
“Pipefy started as a no-code workflow builder, and over the years, it has transformed into a powerful process orchestration platform. On the backend, we are evolving from a monolithic architecture to a more modular and service-oriented one, improving scalability and maintainability.”
“We’ve also invested in observability, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure-as-code. On the frontend, we are re-architecting the application to enhance performance and developer experience. Most recently, we’ve prioritized AI-first capabilities—integrating large language models (LLMs), building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and embedding AI agents into workflows to bring intelligence and adaptability to our customers’ operations.”

Also, regarding the product and the technology, what have been some of the most significant milestones? Gemignani cited:
“Some key milestones include:
— The launch of our native iPaaS, which allows users to connect systems and automate flows without leaving Pipefy.
— Our transition to a cloud-agnostic infrastructure provides us with greater flexibility, resilience, and cost control across various cloud providers.
— The integration of generative AI agents enables use cases such as document understanding, summarization, sentiment analysis, and AI-assisted process execution.
Each of these milestones represents a step toward making Pipefy more extensible, intelligent, and enterprise-ready.”
