Piper Sandler has finalized the acquisition of G Squared Capital Partners, a Washington, D.C.-based boutique investment bank focused on government services and defense technology. The deal integrates G Squared’s specialty coverage into Piper Sandler’s existing technology investment banking platform, expanding its capabilities in federal markets.
G Squared was founded by Greg Nossaman and Greg Woodford, each with over 20 years of experience advising government services and defense technology clients. Their team will join Piper Sandler to offer dedicated advisory services and leverage deep industry relationships in these high-growth sectors.
Legal advisors supported both sides of the deal. Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath served as counsel to Piper Sandler, while Holland & Knight advised G Squared Capital Partners. With regulatory approvals secured, the integration of G Squared’s professionals will proceed under Piper Sandler’s broader technology practice.
This acquisition strengthens Piper Sandler’s position in defense and government services investment banking, enabling the firm to provide comprehensive M&A, capital markets, and strategic advisory solutions to a broader array of clients operating in federal contracting and defense innovation.
