Planera, a leader in visual collaborative scheduling for the construction industry, has announced an advancement in its operations within the data center market, following the raising of an additional $8 million in funding. The funding round features ongoing support from established investors, including Sorenson Capital, Sierra Ventures, Prudence, and Brick and Mortar Ventures. Additionally, Zachry Construction Corporation and various executives from the construction industry have contributed, reinforcing the strong confidence in Planera’s vision and capabilities. This funding round raises Planera’s total to $26.5 million.

The new funds will be essential in helping the company increase its adoption among contractors and subcontractors engaged in some of the most complex and rapidly expanding data center projects globally.

To better support its growing clientele, Planera has introduced a customized service offering that utilizes its powerful scheduling platform. One of its standout clients is HITT Contracting, recognized as the nation’s leading data center builder. HITT employs Planera to enhance visibility into project progress, accelerating the delivery of critical data center builds and showcasing how the platform improves efficiency on the job site.

Another prominent customer is Ralph L. Wadsworth (RLW), who has utilized Planera for constructing data centers for some of the largest technology companies in the world. By implementing Planera’s services, RLW has successfully reduced schedule compression, ensured effective collaboration among teams, and delivered highly intricate projects on time, meeting stringent client expectations.

Ryan Companies US, Inc., a national leader in mission-critical work, also relies on Planera as an indispensable scheduling collaboration tool. This platform unites project managers, field staff, and schedulers, fostering transparency and accuracy across all stages of project execution. In addition, Ryan Companies makes effective use of Planera for subcontractor resource analysis, push/pull planning, and the seamless integration of sequences into the master schedule, further enhancing its operational efficiency.

In response to the unique challenges of the data center sector, Planera has also established a dedicated service team rich in industry knowledge to better support its customers. The company has also introduced innovative AI tools designed to help clients identify potential project delays at an early stage, as well as discover opportunities for accelerating their project timelines.
