Platinum Equity has made a significant investment in LMPG Inc., a North American manufacturer of specification-grade lighting solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed. LMPG founder François-Xavier Souvay, W Investments, and President and CEO Peter Timotheatos and the management team are rolling their equity and will remain significant investors, while Platinum Equity acquires outstanding shares from existing institutional investors.
Headquartered in Montreal, LMPG designs and manufactures lighting luminaires for urban infrastructure, healthcare, education, and commercial building projects, operating a portfolio of seven brands including Lumenpulse, Fluxwerx, Sternberg, Exenia, Pa-Co Lighting, Lumca, ALW, and Vode. LMPG was founded by Souvay in 2006 and has grown through organic expansion and acquisitions.
The transaction is Platinum Equity’s second in Quebec in the last 24 months. Timotheatos will continue serving as President and CEO following the ownership transition.
