Preformed Line Products Company has acquired Delta Star Conetores Eletricos Ltda., a Brazil-based manufacturer of high-voltage and extra-high-voltage substation connectors. The acquisition strengthens PLP’s global leadership in substation hardware and components and expands its footprint in the Americas.
Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Salto, Brazil, Delta Star manufactures substation connectors designed to support reliable, long-term grid performance and maintains deep relationships with leading substation equipment manufacturers. The acquisition complements PLP’s recent purchases of SubCon Electrical Fittings in Austria, Maxxweld Conectores in Brazil and Delta Conectores in Mexico.
PLP, which trades on Nasdaq under the ticker PLPC, designs and manufactures solutions for the energy and communications industries and operates in over 20 countries. The addition of Delta Star is expected to significantly enhance operational support to PLP’s growing U.S. substation business while strengthening its global engineering, manufacturing and supply chain network.
The company continues to expand its portfolio of critical infrastructure solutions as utilities and EPCs face evolving grid and energy demands. PLP serves customers worldwide with precision-engineered products trusted to perform better and last longer.
