Pocket Entertainment, the parent company of Pocket FM and Pocket Saga, announced that it has surpassed $500 million in annualized revenue run rate, representing 70% year-over-year growth.
The milestone reflects continued growth at Pocket FM, the company’s flagship AI audio drama platform, as Pocket Entertainment expands the use of artificial intelligence across content creation, production, personalization, localization, and distribution.
Pocket FM remains the primary driver of the company’s growth. The platform’s revenue retention increased from 44% to 76%, indicating stronger and more sustained listener engagement.
The company has also expanded its content through licensing and adaptation partnerships, including a collaboration with Disney Publishing APAC that brought 36 Marvel audio series episodes to Hindi-language audiences.
Over the past year, Pocket FM expanded into the U.K., Germany, and France, increased its catalog across genres including thriller and fantasy, and launched user-generated content in the U.S.
The platform is also producing an increasing number of commercially successful franchises. Pocket Entertainment said 96 titles have generated more than $1 million in revenue each, while 13 titles have surpassed $10 million in revenue.
Pocket Entertainment’s broader AI entertainment ecosystem now includes more than 550,000 creators supported by a purpose-built AI technology stack and real-time audience insights.
The company uses audience data to identify stories that are gaining traction and help successful intellectual property scale faster across markets and languages. Pocket Entertainment said AI has reduced the time needed to launch content in a new market from approximately 12 months to two months.
Pocket FM’s creator ecosystem is now generating more than 2.6 million annualized hours of content, while the platform’s library has expanded to more than 770,000 titles across eight categories.
English-language originals and adaptations including Saving Nora, The Primal Hunter, The Duke’s Masked Bride, and Shadow Slave have generated millions of plays. The company said My Vampire System has surpassed 1.5 billion plays.
Pocket FM listeners now spend an average of 155 minutes per day on the platform, and 51% of weekly active users engage daily.
The company believes AI is significantly changing the economics of entertainment by enabling smaller creator teams to produce and scale content that historically required large studios, substantial budgets, and lengthy production cycles.
Pocket Entertainment is also positioning its platform around a future in which creators can develop, localize, distribute, and monetize entertainment across global markets with significantly lower production barriers.
KEY QUOTES:
“AI fundamentally changes the economics of entertainment businesses. Crossing $500 million in ARR, with a healthy bottom line, is a testament to that. Interestingly, Pocket FM has scaled while improving retention alongside it. That doesn’t happen without having good taste.”
Harsha Kumar, Partner at Lightspeed
“AI is creating an entirely new era of entertainment, one defined by an abundance of high-quality content, the rise of single-person studios capable of creating blockbusters, and experiences hyper-personalized for every individual. We are already seeing creators build stories that generate millions of dollars, something that historically required large studios, big teams, significant budgets and years of production. We believe the next global entertainment phenomenon can come from anywhere, reach millions of people across the world, and still feel uniquely made for each of them. At Pocket Entertainment, we are building the platform for this future, fundamentally expanding who can create, what can be created, and how the world experiences entertainment.”
Rohan Nayak, CEO and Co-Founder of Pocket Entertainment
“I struggled to get my stories published, but now I can see them come to life with Pocket FM. Pocket FM’s AI creation tools help me develop ideas, build characters and storylines, and turn those ideas into stories much faster. I can spend more time being creative, create more consistently and see my stories reach audiences I never could before.”
