Point Wild, a provider of AI-powered cybersecurity solutions, announced the acquisition of Funambol, a company specializing in personal cloud solutions for secure storage, synchronization, and management of digital content across devices. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
As part of the acquisition, Funambol’s technology will be integrated into Lat61, Point Wild’s AI-powered cybersecurity platform that unifies the company’s portfolio of security products through an API-enabled infrastructure. The integration is designed to enhance Point Wild’s security and identity protection capabilities while expanding into secure data ownership and control.
The deal also strengthens Point Wild’s presence in the telecommunications sector. Funambol brings established relationships with global telecom providers and offers a white-label cloud platform that enables telecommunications companies, financial institutions, and digital platforms to embed secure cloud services directly into their products. Point Wild said the acquisition supports its broader strategy of expanding its B2B business and partner ecosystem.
According to the company, Funambol’s technology will evolve into a more flexible offering with expanded capabilities powered by the Lat61 platform. Funambol will continue operating under its existing leadership team to ensure continuity for customers while leveraging Point Wild’s scale and cybersecurity expertise.
Point Wild said its Lat61 platform enables the sharing of insights, threat intelligence, and product capabilities across its portfolio, helping accelerate product development and integration with partner ecosystems.
