PointClickCare has appointed technology and artificial intelligence executive Armughan Ahmad to its Board of Directors, strengthening the health technology company’s leadership capabilities across AI, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise technology.
Ahmad brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience and has helped build and lead multi-billion-dollar businesses through major industry shifts spanning enterprise data centers, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
He previously served as CEO of Appen, an AI data company serving AI labs, hyperscalers, and large enterprises. Before Appen, Ahmad was President and Managing Partner of Digital at KPMG, where he led a digital business combining professional services with software products.
Earlier in his career, Ahmad served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Dell Technologies. In that role, he oversaw the company’s Hybrid Cloud and High-Performance Computing solutions portfolio and helped bring AI systems to market in collaboration with NVIDIA.
PointClickCare expects Ahmad’s experience to support its broader AI-first healthcare strategy as the company develops technology aimed at improving clinical and operational outcomes. PointClickCare has access to a large long-term and post-acute care dataset and uses data and AI across care transitions, clinical interventions, and financial operations.
Ahmad currently advises senior executives on using AI to transform services into software and invests in AI-first software companies. He also serves as an independent board director at Flexential, which operates 40 data centers across the U.S., and as a board director of Ontario-based hospital system Trillium Health Partners.
His appointment comes as PointClickCare continues expanding its technology ecosystem. The company is trusted by more than 30,000 provider organizations and every major U.S. health plan and operates a marketplace with more than 500 integrated partners.
Concurrent with Ahmad’s appointment, Rob Eberle has concluded his service on PointClickCare’s Board of Directors after more than 11 years.
