Pollen Street Capital is a leading alternative asset manager based in London, UK. The firm was founded in 2013 and specializes in investing within the financial and business services sectors across Europe. Pollen Street Capital announced that it has secured €2 billion in new capital, which was raised across its new flagship fund, Private Equity Fund V, and an additional co-investment vehicle.

Private Equity Fund V is a new flagship fund that raised €1.5 billion in commitments, significantly exceeding the original target of €1 billion, and was oversubscribed on a hard cap of €1.2 billion. And an additional €500 million was secured in co-investment capital, bringing the total new capital to €2 billion.

This fundraising is an 85% increase from the firm’s previous private equity fund, which closed at £700 million. With this fund, Pollen Street Capital will continue its strategy of investing in mid-market businesses across European financial and business services sectors, focusing on areas like revenue-led growth, technology adoption, and operational transformation. About 50% of Fund V’s capital is already deployed across eight platform investments.

The firm’s philosophy focuses on identifying and partnering with entrepreneurial management teams whose businesses have strong growth potential and market share expansion. Some of the companies that Pollen Street invested in include:

— Keylane – An insurance software provider

— Mattioli Woods – A UK-based wealth management platform

— Assessio – A talent assessment software platform operating in the Nordics and Benelux

— OrderYOYO – An e-commerce and payment solutions provider for restaurants

— Elevo – A French HR tech scale-up specializing in performance and talent development

— Webio – An Ireland-based provider of AI-powered conversational messaging solutions for credit and collections

— Finanzportal24 – A leading provider of financial planning software in Germany.

This fund will continue to focus on control investments in mid-market businesses within European financial and business services. And Pollen Street aims to make equity investments typically ranging from £40 million to £100 million in 12 to 14 companies over its investment period.
