PolyAI, an enterprise agentic AI company focused on customer experience, has appointed Ryan Longfield as President of Go-to-Market, a newly created role that expands the company’s senior leadership as it scales commercial operations amid rising enterprise demand for production-grade AI agents.

Longfield will oversee PolyAI’s end-to-end go-to-market organization, including sales, marketing, revenue operations, customer success, partnerships, and strategic alliances. The company said the role reflects both its recent growth and a broader shift in the market as large organizations move from experimentation to deploying agentic AI in mission-critical customer interactions.

The appointment follows PolyAI’s recent Series D financing and brings the company’s total capital raised to more than $200 million. PolyAI said the funding and leadership expansion come after a year of momentum driven by growing enterprise adoption of its agentic systems.

PolyAI positions its technology as “enterprise-grade” agentic AI designed to handle complex, high-stakes customer conversations with reliability requirements closer to critical infrastructure than consumer chatbots. The company said its agents are already used in scenarios such as medical transport coordination, natural disaster response workflows, and handling high-value orders for large retailers and hospitality operators.

In some of PolyAI’s largest deployments, the company said its AI agents perform the equivalent work of more than 1,000 full-time employees, underscoring the scale at which it believes agentic AI is being operationalized inside major organizations. PolyAI also said its agents support multi-language customer interactions, citing operations across more than 25 countries and more than 50 languages, with over 100 enterprise customers.

Longfield brings more than two decades of commercial and operational leadership experience across high-growth software companies. Most recently, he served as Global Head of Commercial Operations at Shopify, where he worked on scaling commercial operations and supporting sustained revenue growth. Prior to Shopify, he was Chief Revenue Officer at Gong, where he helped scale the business from early-stage revenue to “hundreds of millions” in recurring revenue and helped establish revenue intelligence as a major enterprise category, according to the release. Earlier, he held senior sales leadership roles at LinkedIn during its growth through IPO and its later acquisition by Microsoft.

PolyAI’s CEO and co-founder Nikola Mrkšić said the hire reflects a changing enterprise posture toward agentic AI—less about whether to adopt the technology and more about which vendors can be trusted to run it in production environments. The company framed Longfield’s mandate as building a repeatable, global go-to-market engine that can support more deployments of AI agents in critical customer workflows.

PolyAI said it is trusted by large brands including Marriott, Caesars Entertainment, PG&E, and UniCredit, and that its agents are designed to deliver “human-level understanding” while meeting enterprise standards for reliability. The company’s focus on customer experience places it in a crowded field of AI platforms and contact-center technologies, where buyers are increasingly evaluating not only model performance but also operational readiness, governance, and the ability to sustain quality at scale.

With Longfield leading the go-to-market organization, PolyAI is signaling an emphasis on expanding global coverage, deepening strategic partnerships, and accelerating adoption among large enterprises that are now moving agentic AI from pilots into core operations.
