Polyfork Wins $500,000 Build With Gemini XPRIZE After Building AI-Powered 3D Model Business In 90 Days

Polyfork, an AI-powered 3D modeling business founded by Lucas Martinic, won first place in the Build with Gemini XPRIZE, earning the competition’s $500,000 grand prize after building a revenue-generating company in 90 days.

The global competition challenged participants to build AI-native businesses that address real-world problems within three months. More than 26,000 builders registered across five categories, with projects evaluated equally on business viability, AI-native operations, and category impact.

Polyfork emerged as the winner after creating a platform that sells 3D models as programs rather than fixed digital assets.

Instead of downloading a finished 3D model with limited flexibility, Polyfork allows users to resize, recolor, and remix models before downloading them. This approach is intended to make 3D assets more adaptable for different design, prototyping, creative, and production requirements.

The business also relies heavily on AI agents to generate and publish new content.

According to the competition announcement, Polyfork’s AI-agent factory publishes more than 175 models per week. Within its first month, the platform had built a catalog of 583 models and generated $4,428 in revenue from 54 paying customers.

The project was developed by Martinic, who represented Germany in the competition.

Polyfork’s approach reflects one of the central ideas behind the Build with Gemini XPRIZE: demonstrating how small teams, and in some cases individual founders, can use AI agents to automate substantial portions of company operations.

The competition focused on businesses built from a clean sheet rather than existing startups adding AI capabilities to established products.

Participants were given 90 days to build, launch, and begin generating revenue.

Polyfork’s use of AI agents for content creation allowed it to rapidly expand its catalog without requiring a large production team manually creating every model.

That model also shows how agentic AI could change the economics of digital-content businesses by letting software perform recurring creative and operational tasks at significantly greater scale.

The five finalists ultimately pitched their businesses live at Moonshots LIVE in Los Angeles.

Judges included Cathie Wood, founder and CEO of ARK Invest; Palmer Luckey, founder of Anduril Industries; Mark Pincus, founder of Zynga; and Logan Kilpatrick of Google DeepMind, who leads Google AI Studio and the Gemini API.

XPRIZE CEO Anousheh Ansari presented the awards. 90-day-old AI company backed by…

Polyfork received the $500,000 first-place prize.

Second place and $200,000 went to Tician Cierre, created by José Edgar Peña Ramírez of Mexico.

MyFixAm, created by Jane Chukwuyem Odum and Ayodele Dada of Nigeria and the United States, received $100,000 for third place.

LaunchBridge, created by Chase Rosen and Leonardo Fall of the United States, won fourth place and $100,000, while DodoPrep, created by Naveed Ahmed of India, won fifth place and $100,000.

The competition also awarded five $50,000 category prizes.

Kosmo won the Education and Human Potential category, NoBanks Nearby won Entrepreneurship and Job Creation, Trama AI Corp won Small Business Services, Mimi Money won Money and Financial Access, and C2X won Professional Services Access.

Fifteen additional projects received $50,000 runner-up awards.

The competition also included a separate $50,000 Agentic Economy Prize powered by Circle. MergeGate, created by Heartlin Machado of the United States, won that award for developing technology aimed at an economy where autonomous agents can interact with financial systems at machine speed.

Build with Gemini XPRIZE distributed $2 million across 25 winning projects.

XPRIZE presented the competition in partnership with Google as the presenting technology partner, with Devpost serving as the competition administrator.

XPRIZE was founded by Peter Diamandis and has spent more than three decades organizing competitions designed to encourage technology development around major global challenges.

For Polyfork, the $500,000 award provides additional capital after proving an early business model around AI-generated 3D assets.

The company’s performance during the 90-day competition demonstrated that its automated production model could generate both a sizable catalog and initial customer revenue within a relatively short period.
