PowerBridge Networks Acquires Select Enphase Energy Patents

PowerBridge Networks announced that it has acquired more than 50 patents and related patent applications from Enphase Energy covering innovations tied to distributed energy systems, inverter technology, power management, and grid-connected energy technologies.

According to the company, the acquired assets represent patent rights that fall outside Enphase Energy’s current strategic priorities. PowerBridge believes the portfolio has significant relevance across energy infrastructure, distributed power, energy storage, and related technology markets.

The portfolio includes technologies focused on intelligent energy management, inverter-based power conversion, distributed power architectures, system optimization, and infrastructure supporting modern energy storage and delivery systems. The assets span select U.S. patents, international filings, and foreign counterparts in key global markets.

PowerBridge Networks said the transaction aligns with its strategy of acquiring and managing intellectual property portfolios from innovators, allowing companies to monetize assets that are no longer central to their operations while maintaining focus on their core businesses.

The company also noted that it previously announced the acquisition of Avaya’s enterprise networking patent portfolio in April 2026 as part of its broader intellectual property platform strategy.

PowerBridge works with investment partners to identify, acquire, and license patent portfolios across networking, communications, energy, and adjacent technology sectors. The company added that GridScale Solutions, LLC, an affiliated entity within the PowerBridge platform, will hold and manage the Enphase-related patent portfolio.
