Precinmac has acquired Advance Mfg. Co., a Massachusetts-based manufacturer of precision machined components, welded fabrications, and assemblies serving the defense and commercial aerospace markets. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1961, Advance manufactures complex, tight-tolerance components and assemblies for mission-critical aerospace and defense applications. The company also develops proprietary hydraulic and computerized torque systems for servicing a variety of military and commercial jet engine platforms. The acquisition strengthens Precinmac’s manufacturing capabilities while expanding its production capacity across the commercial aerospace, defense, and space sectors.
Advance will complement Precinmac’s existing network of precision manufacturing businesses by adding expertise in complex machining, fabrication, assembly, and value-added manufacturing services. The deal also brings New England Custom Coaters (NECCI) into the organization, providing specialized coating and finishing capabilities that will enable more integrated manufacturing solutions and streamlined production workflows for customers.
Advance and NECCI will continue operating from their Massachusetts facilities, maintaining their existing workforce, customer relationships, and commitment to delivering high-quality manufacturing services. Precinmac said the acquisition aligns with its long-term strategy of investing in mission-critical manufacturing capabilities while preserving the strong cultures and community ties of the businesses it acquires.
Precinmac, backed by Centerbridge Partners, provides precision machining, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing solutions for customers across the aerospace, defense, space, semiconductor, and power generation industries through facilities located throughout the United States and Canada.
