PrecisionX Group: Windjammer Capital Acquires Precision Metal Components Manufacturer

By Amit Chowdhry ● Apr 1, 2026

Windjammer Capital has acquired PrecisionX Group, a provider of high-precision metal components used in critical applications across regulated and high-growth industries.

PrecisionX serves leading OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in sectors including aerospace and defense, medical devices, and satellite and space. The company operates approximately 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space across seven U.S. facilities and specializes in advanced production techniques such as deep and shallow drawn stamping, Swiss screw machining, CNC machining, and wire EDM technologies.

Headquartered in Waterbury, Connecticut, PrecisionX holds multiple industry certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and AS9100D, along with ITAR and FDA registrations. Its capabilities span prototyping through high-volume production, positioning the company as a key supply chain partner for mission-critical components.

The acquisition marks the fourth investment from Windjammer’s $1.3 billion Fund VI and aligns with the firm’s strategy of investing in niche manufacturing businesses that operate in highly regulated markets where reliability and quality are essential.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Stifel served as financial advisor to Windjammer, while Kirkland & Ellis provided legal counsel. Baird and Houlihan Lokey advised PrecisionX, with Kirkland & Ellis also acting as its legal advisor.
