Prevalent AI has appointed Nitin Maini as Chief Technology Officer, bringing in an enterprise software and cybersecurity executive to lead the company’s technology strategy as it expands the use of its AI-powered Data Fabric and Knowledge Graph.
Maini brings more than 20 years of experience across cybersecurity and enterprise software, with a background in scaling engineering organizations and developing enterprise technology platforms.
Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Qualys, where he led an engineering organization of more than 1,000 people in India and helped drive an AI-first engineering transformation.
Before Qualys, Maini spent nearly six years as Chief Technology Officer at Sapience Analytics. He previously held senior engineering positions at Vuclip and BMC Software.
At Prevalent AI, Maini will help shape the company’s technology roadmap as it builds on its cybersecurity business and expands its technology into broader enterprise applications.
The company’s platform connects and resolves data across enterprise systems to create a continuously updated view of assets, identities, controls and their relationships.
Prevalent AI is seeking to extend its Knowledge Graph beyond cybersecurity into areas including financial crime analysis, operational intelligence, governance, risk and compliance.
The appointment follows Prevalent AI’s $22 million growth investment from Integrity Growth Partners announced last month.
That financing represented the first primary capital raised in the company’s nine-year history and is being used to support international expansion and further product development for customers across financial services, telecommunications and critical national infrastructure.
Prevalent AI is also positioning its data and context layer as infrastructure for enterprise AI systems.
As AI agents gain greater access to internal systems and workflows, the company believes enterprises will require reliable and continuously updated organizational context to safely deploy those systems in production.
