Prime Finance, a commercial real estate credit platform, has received a minority investment from Bonaccord Capital Partners. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2008, Prime Finance operates as a private commercial real estate credit platform with more than $15 billion in assets under management as of year-end 2025. The firm provides financing solutions across the capital stack, including originating floating rate, non-recourse bridge loans, investing in special situations real estate-related capital structures, and acquiring CMBS B pieces.
The investment from Bonaccord will support Prime Finance’s long term strategic priorities, including strengthening its balance sheet and institutional infrastructure, expanding its credit platform, and increasing investment in technology and data capabilities. The partnership is also expected to support broader growth initiatives.
Prime Finance will continue to operate independently, with no changes to its day-to-day management, investment process, or overall strategic direction following the transaction.
Bonaccord Capital Partners focuses on minority investments in mid-market private market sponsors across private equity, private credit, real estate, and real assets, providing capital and strategic support to help firms scale their platforms.
Support: Advisors on the transaction included Goldman Sachs as financial advisor to Prime Finance, while Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Sidley Austin LLP served as legal counsel to the respective parties.
