Princeton Equity Group has promoted Jack Nagle and Joseph Trahan from Principal to Partner, strengthening the senior investment team at the private equity firm as it continues to expand its franchisor and multi-location investment platform.
Both executives joined Princeton in 2021 and have played significant roles in sourcing and executing transactions, supporting portfolio companies, and working with management teams across the firm’s investment portfolio.
Nagle joined Princeton as a Vice President and was promoted to Principal in 2024. His current investment involvement includes Amped Fitness, Barry’s, Stretch Zone, and D1 Training. He was also involved with IFPG before its sale.
Before joining Princeton, Nagle held investment roles at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors and J.F. Lehman & Company and began his career at Morgan Stanley. He earned a B.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
Trahan joined Princeton as a Vice President in 2021 and was promoted to Principal in 2023. His current investment involvement includes Pirtek, KidStrong, Five Star Franchising, and Ellie Mental Health.
Before Princeton, Trahan held investment roles at Trive Capital and Elm Park Capital Management and began his career at J.P. Morgan Chase. He earned a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Princeton said the promotions reflect its emphasis on developing leadership internally as the firm builds out its long-term investment platform. The firm focuses on franchisor and multi-location businesses and manages approximately $3 billion in assets.
Over a 20-year history, Princeton has developed operating and proprietary resources designed to help partner companies scale. The firm works closely with founders and management teams and positions its investments as long-term business partnerships.
