Priority Courier Experts has acquired Priority Dispatch and Diamond Expedited, expanding its same-day and expedited logistics platform across key Midwestern markets.
The acquisition strengthens PCE’s presence across Cincinnati, Columbus, and Indianapolis while extending its broader reach across Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
Priority Dispatch was founded in 1973 and has operated across the Midwest for more than five decades. Diamond Expedited was founded in 1995 and operates from the greater Chicago area.
Together, the acquired businesses bring more than 500 independent-contractor drivers and 43 employees to the PCE platform.
They complete approximately 250,000 orders annually across medical and healthcare courier services, routed and dedicated delivery, small parcel, on-demand courier, box truck freight, distribution and ecommerce fulfillment.
The acquisition deepens PCE’s capabilities in healthcare and ecommerce logistics, two areas where Priority Dispatch and Diamond Expedited have established regional expertise.
Their combined footprint also includes coverage across Cleveland, Dayton, Toledo, Detroit, Chicago and Milwaukee.
PCE plans to integrate those regional capabilities with its broader same-day and expedited delivery network, giving customers access to a wider set of services across parcel, commercial freight, ecommerce and healthcare logistics.
Priority Courier Experts is backed by Trident Management and Bluejay Capital.
The Minneapolis-St. Paul-based company was founded in 1997 and provides same-day and next-day B2B delivery services through on-demand, dedicated, routed and fleet-outsourcing models.
Its customers span healthcare, industrial, ecommerce and other time-sensitive sectors.
Priority Dispatch owner Jeff Thomas said joining PCE gives the acquired businesses additional resources to expand into new end markets while preserving the healthcare and long-term care logistics expertise developed over decades.
The transaction also fits Trident’s strategy of investing in established founder-led businesses, while Bluejay brings a transportation and logistics-focused investment platform with more than 120 years of combined operating experience across its team.
