Privacy Bee Acquires EraseMe.app To Expand Data Removal Technology And Ongoing Privacy Monitoring

Privacy Bee has acquired EraseMe.app, adding the personal data removal company’s customers and technology to its platform as it expands tools for continuously identifying and removing exposed consumer information online.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

EraseMe.app developed technology designed to help consumers reduce the amount of personal information publicly available through data brokers and other online sources.

Privacy Bee plans to integrate that technology into its existing platform while transitioning EraseMe.app customers to its broader data removal and monitoring services.

The acquisition strengthens Privacy Bee’s approach to a challenge that extends beyond simply removing a consumer’s information once.

Data broker and people-search websites routinely rebuild profiles using public records, marketing databases, purchased datasets, and other information sources.

As a result, personal information can reappear even after it has previously been removed.

Privacy Bee’s service is designed around ongoing monitoring and repeated removal requests.

Its platform identifies exposed information, submits and manages removal requests, documents results, and continues checking whether personal information resurfaces.

Technology acquired from EraseMe.app will be incorporated into those processes.

Privacy Bee expects the additional tools to improve how it identifies exposed information, processes removals, monitors data that returns, and supports subscribers.

EraseMe.app customers will receive direct instructions regarding the transition and do not need to take action until they receive that communication.

New visitors to EraseMe.app will be directed to Privacy Bee.

Existing Privacy Bee subscribers will not need to make changes to their accounts while the technology integration takes place.

The acquisition follows recognition for Privacy Bee in August 2026, when PCMag awarded the service a five-out-of-five rating and Editors’ Choice designation.

According to the company, Privacy Bee became the first personal data removal service to receive a perfect rating from PCMag, which also recognized the breadth of its data broker coverage.

The acquisition adds another layer of technology to Privacy Bee’s broader effort to give individuals greater visibility into and control over where their information appears online.

KEY QUOTES:

“Growing our privacy-conscious community is always exciting, but the bigger story is the technology EraseMe.app has brought to market over the past several years.”

“We look forward to putting that technology to work across Privacy Bee and using it to improve how we protect the digital footprints of the people who trust us.”
