ProAmpac, a global flexible packaging company focused on material science and sustainable packaging solutions, has completed its acquisition of TC Transcontinental Packaging from TC Transcontinental. The deal, previously announced in December, was valued at about $1.51 billion and marks a major step in ProAmpac’s long-term growth strategy.
The transaction brings together TC Transcontinental Packaging’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and global footprint with ProAmpac’s focus on sustainability, material science innovation, and speed to market. The combined organization aims to accelerate the development of next-generation packaging technologies while expanding global reach.
The integration adds advanced coating capabilities and strengthens ProAmpac’s portfolio in barrier films, mono-material structures, and fiber-based packaging formats. The acquisition also enhances the company’s presence in protein packaging while complementing its existing expertise in fiber-based materials.
Following the deal, ProAmpac now operates more than 80 manufacturing facilities worldwide and employs approximately 11,000 people. The expanded company has a broader footprint across Asia, North America, Latin America, Europe, and New Zealand, positioning it to scale production and better support global customers while advancing sustainable packaging innovation.
TC Transcontinental Packaging generated roughly $1.2 billion in revenue in the 12 months ended July 27, 2025. Its addition significantly increases ProAmpac’s scale in the flexible packaging sector and strengthens its competitive position in key international markets.
ProAmpac is headquartered in Cincinnati and provides flexible packaging solutions across a wide range of industries. The company is owned by PPC along with management and co-investors and is guided by a sustainability strategy known as ProActive Sustainability.
