Profound: $35 Million Series B Raised For AI Visibility And Content Optimization Platform

By Amit Chowdhry • Aug 16, 2025

Profound, a platform that helps businesses control how they appear in AI responses, announced a $35 million Series B round led by Sequoia with continued participation from Kleiner Perkins, Khosla Ventures, Saga VC, and South Park Commons. This brings Profound’s total funding to $58.5 million.

Since launching less than a year ago, Profound has secured enterprise clients, including Ramp, US Bank, Indeed, MongoDB, DocuSign, and Chime. Over 2,000 marketers from more than 500 organizations use its platform daily, as companies shift to AI-first strategies. ChatGPT now has 700 million weekly users—a fourfold increase since last year—with 60% of consumers starting product research through AI assistants instead of search engines.

Profound enables brands to monitor how AI describes them, generate AI-targeted content, and quickly deploy marketing agents. The platform’s tools have led to significant increases in AI-driven referrals and revenue for early customers.

Profound’s rapid growth spans several industries, and new funding will boost its agentic workflow, expand content generation, and support global expansion for companies aiming to enhance their AI presence.
