Chicago-Based Logistics Software Company project44 Raises $45 Million In Funding

Chicago-based project44 is a leading advanced visibility platform for third-party logistics firms and shippers. project44 essentially automates and provides visibility into key transportation processes in order to accelerate insights and shorten the time it takes for turning insights into actions. Organizations are able to increase operational efficiencies, reduce costs, improve shipping performance using the project44 cloud-based platform.

project44 is connected to more than 175,000 carriers worldwide and it provides comprehensive coverage for all ELD and telematics devices. Plus project44 supports all transportation modes and shipping types, including parcel, final-mile, LTL, Volume LTL, truckloads, rails, intermodal, and ocean.

project44 has raised $45 million in funding led by Sapphire Ventures. New investor Insight Venture Partners joined this round along with existing investors like 8VC, Chicago Ventures, Emergence Capital, Omidyar Technology Ventures, OpenView Venture Partners, and Pritzker Group Venture Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Sapphire Ventures partner Kevin Diestel is joining project44’s board of directors.

The funding will be used to reinforce project44’s success as the fastest-growing vendor in the transportation visibility and to fund its continued growth in North America along with driving international expansion. project44 has now raised a total of more than $90 million.
