Pronto.ai, a leader in autonomous haulage systems (AHS), has acquired SafeAI, a pioneer in multi-sensor autonomous solutions for heavy industry. This acquisition solidifies Pronto’s position as the leading provider of autonomous solutions for the off-road sector.
The newly combined company will offer the industry’s first tiered technology portfolio, catering to a wide range of customer needs, from small quarries to large mines. This includes Pronto’s existing, cost-effective, camera-only AHS for quick deployment, as well as a new premium multi-sensor offering. Both systems will incorporate SafeAI’s ASIL D-certified safety framework, the highest safety integrity level in the industry.
This strategic move comes as Pronto is experiencing significant growth, having recently secured a global agreement to deploy over 100 autonomous trucks with Heidelberg Materials and expanded its team in Brazil. The acquisition also unites two highly experienced autonomy teams, with backgrounds spanning industry innovators such as Google, Waymo, Uber, Apple, Caterpillar, and Tesla.
