Proofpoint has appointed Brian Levey as Chief Legal Officer and Puja Jaspal as Chief People Officer, adding two senior technology executives to its leadership team as the cybersecurity company expands globally and increases its focus on protecting interactions between people, data and artificial intelligence. Both executives bring more than 25 years of leadership experience.
As Chief Legal Officer, Levey will lead Proofpoint’s global legal organization, including legal affairs, corporate governance, compliance and ethics, while working with the executive team and Board on growth, innovation and risk management.
Levey most recently served as Chief Business Affairs and Chief Legal Officer at Upwork, overseeing legal, compliance, public policy and information security and helping guide the company through its IPO.
Before Upwork, he spent more than 13 years at eBay, where he was involved in strategic transactions including the acquisitions of PayPal, Skype, StubHub, Shopping.com and GSI Commerce.
As Chief People Officer, Jaspal will oversee talent strategy, employee experience, organizational development and total rewards.
She joins from Fastly, where she served as Chief People Officer and helped align the company’s people and culture strategies with its transformation, growth and profitability objectives.
Jaspal previously held senior leadership roles at Cisco, Visa and Google.
