Prospera Financial Services has added Patrick Sweeney of Pennsylvania and John Palmer of New York to its national independent advisor platform. The two advisors are expected to bring a combined $75 million in assets under management to the firm.
Sweeney is President and Wealth Advisor at Chartiers Capital Group, based in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. He brings more than two decades of wealth management experience, including previous roles at Wells Fargo Advisors and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.
Palmer is the Founder of Palmer Financial in Smithtown, New York, and has more than 40 years of wealth management experience. His background includes roles at Prudential Securities, Wachovia Securities and Wells Fargo Advisors.
Prospera said both advisors were looking for a platform that could provide operational resources and support while allowing them to continue building their independent practices and serving clients.
The Dallas-based firm supports independent financial advisors nationwide and currently oversees approximately $30 billion in assets under management.
Prospera maintains a 2.5-to-1 advisor-to-home-office ratio, which the firm said enables it to provide individualized support while continuing to invest in technology and operational capabilities.
The company is also integrating advanced AI solutions designed to support advisor productivity and business growth while maintaining its existing advisor support model.
Founded in 1982, Prospera operates as an independent broker-dealer and registered investment adviser.
