Protera, an IT modernization and enterprise cloud services provider, has acquired Redfig, a business transformation firm known for SAP application development, data integration, and intelligent automation. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal is designed to broaden Protera’s delivery capabilities for enterprises pursuing cloud migration, SAP modernization, and automation initiatives. By adding Redfig’s expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and application management services, Protera said it will be able to offer a wider set of services spanning enterprise AI automation, custom SAP applications, intelligent workflows, and end-to-end data platform integrations.
Protera said the acquisition strengthens its ability to help customers connect and operationalize enterprise data as organizations accelerate adoption of AI-driven tools. The combined company will target modernization programs that align with SAP’s evolving architecture priorities, including Business Data Cloud (BDC) readiness and “Clean Core” initiatives aimed at keeping ERP environments more standardized while extending functionality through modern platforms.
Redfig brings experience as an early participant in the SAP BTP ecosystem and operates as an SAP Build Partner, a designation tied to designing and deploying SAP applications. The company also has solutions listed on the SAP Store, including Redfig Partnerportal and Redfig Partnerflow, which Protera positioned as part of an expanded portfolio intended to help customers build, automate, and scale digital workflows more quickly.
Protera, founded in 1998, provides SAP-certified services and works across major cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, offering cloud migration and enterprise managed services alongside “modern cloud,” “modern ERP,” and “modern work” solutions. Redfig, founded in 2019, focuses on enterprise application design and integration across SAP BTP, SAP ERP, and other cloud-native platforms, with an emphasis on data modernization and AI-driven automation.
The acquisition reflects continued consolidation in the enterprise services market as customers seek fewer partners that can combine infrastructure operations, application modernization, integration engineering, and automation under a single delivery model—particularly as enterprises try to translate AI experimentation into production-scale systems tied to governed, integrated data.
