Protos Security, a tech-enabled managed security services provider backed by Southfield Capital, has acquired AT-RISK International, a Washington D.C.-based provider of executive protection, intelligence, and risk consulting services. The deal marks Protos’ twelfth acquisition since partnering with Southfield and advances its strategy of building a comprehensive, software-enabled integrated protection platform.
Founded in 2013, AT-RISK brings capabilities spanning risk consulting, investigations, threat assessments, global risk monitoring, and protective services, including executive, residential, event, and asset protection. The addition strengthens Protos’ existing managed security services model, which provides enterprise and high-net-worth clients access to a broad network of physical guarding, off-duty officers, and remote monitoring solutions across North America. Together, the companies position themselves to address rising demand for intelligence-led, end-to-end security among clients facing increasingly complex threat environments.
Founded in 2006, Protos has built its platform around a managed services model that gives clients access to an agile provider network alongside real-time security program data and insights. The AT-RISK acquisition expands Protos’ addressable market into specialized and high-value services, reinforcing its position as a differentiated provider in the broader protective services landscape.
