PulteGroup announced it has acquired approximately 419 acres of land in Pasco County, Florida, where it plans to develop Explore by Del Webb Verona, a new resort-inspired lifestyle community.
PulteGroup plans to break ground on the community later this month, with home sales expected to begin in mid-2027. The development is planned for 843 homesites and will be located along the SR-52 corridor, one of the fastest-developing areas in Pasco County.
Explore by Del Webb Verona will be designed as a lifestyle destination featuring luxury homes, resort-style amenities, and wellness-focused programming. The community will serve homebuyers looking for a vibrant lifestyle and a strong sense of community as they enter a new stage of life.
The Verona project is the fourth community announced nationally under the Explore by Del Webb brand and the second in Florida, following the launch of North River Ranch in Parrish. Explore by Del Webb builds on the broader Del Webb brand’s experience developing lifestyle-focused communities for active adults.
Explore by Del Webb Verona is expected to offer a wide range of amenities, including fitness and movement studios, massage rooms, infrared saunas, cold plunges, a lazy river, pickleball courts, a bar and grill, gathering spaces, and other lifestyle features.
PulteGroup said the Pasco County site was selected because of the area’s growing job market and reputation as a lifestyle destination. Future residents will have access to I-75 and the Suncoast Expressway, connecting them to downtown Tampa, Tampa International Airport, the Gulf Coast, dining, entertainment, recreation, and other regional destinations.
Explore by Del Webb Verona also represents the first phase of a larger master-planned vision for Verona. The broader plan is expected to include 2,800 homesites, a school, commercial parcels, and preserved conservation areas.
