Puratos Acquires Vör Foods to Expand U.S. Clean-Label Nut Butter and Filling Capabilities

Puratos has acquired Vör Foods, a high-growth manufacturer of ultra-clean-label nut butters and nut-based fillings headquartered in Trevose, Pennsylvania, in a deal aimed at accelerating innovation in sweet goods and strengthening Puratos’ U.S. manufacturing footprint.

The acquisition adds a dedicated, SQF-certified nut facility and expands Puratos’ ability to serve bakery and confectionery customers with locally produced nut ingredients as demand rises for on-trend applications, including Dubai-style chocolate.

Vör produces pistachio, hazelnut, almond, cashew, and blended nut butters and fillings, broadening Puratos’ existing nut portfolio, which includes the recently launched Carat Nuxel Hazelnut. Puratos said Vör’s predominantly U.S.-sourced inputs will improve traceability and shorten lead times, while the specialized facility enhances operational capacity to meet growing customer demand for clean-label nut solutions.

The Trevose site is located roughly 35 minutes from Puratos’ U.S. headquarters, a proximity the company said will support closer technical collaboration and knowledge-sharing as the teams integrate. Puratos also plans to invest in Vör’s equipment and capacity to support continued expansion.

Vör Foods was founded in 2016 and has positioned itself as a flexible manufacturer supporting both ingredient buyers and consumer packaged goods brands with formulations designed for function, flavor, and scalability, enabled by rapid R&D and pilot-to-scale production capabilities.
